Our services include support for scientific image analysis tasks ranging from software user training to the novel design of analysis processes. We develop our own open source solutions to master the increasing demand for tools to transfer, annotate and manage large data sets. It is a departmental multi-user facility that enables scientists and students to gain access to a high-end instrument portfolio for optical single cell analysis.
The centralized instrument pool is accompanied expert service of staff members providing in instrument training, sample preparation, asssay design, image analysis, data management and maintanace of the hard- and software. Eighteen imaging work stations are available that include single point and multipoint confocals, light sheet microscopy, multiphoton, wide field and stereo-zoom microscopes.
Most setups are equipped with environmental control for mutidimentional automatized long-term life cell imaging. Sophisticated software can control elaborate routines involving on-the-fly image analysis and logical operations as well as the trigger of third-party equipment. The facility hosts six high-speed cell sorters FACS capable of single cell deposition and multi parametric analysis.
